AS a result of Covid-19, ONGIA has made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 conference and replace it with a series of webinars

About the Webinars

ONGIA is pleased to announce our first in a series of webinars aimed at the issues surrounding street gangs.

The second webinar in our series will be held on November 17th, 2020 at 1:00 pm (EDT) and will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.   

The topics that will be discussed during this webinar are:

  • Current gang trends (in the respective Region/City)

  • Commodities trafficked in that region 

  • Regional concerns & challenges

The cities presenting on September 10th will be Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg & Ottawa

The next webinar will have 3 other cities or regions present on the above topics with the goal of having every region/major city speak to their local gang issues.

 

We invite you to listen in and ask questions at the end of the webinar. (if time permits)

Participation is open to sworn members of the justice community. This includes police, corrections, border services, special constables, analysts, crowns, military and staff involved in the analysis, enforcement and prosecution of criminal offences.

When registering, you MUST use your agency email or your registration will be denied.

The webinars are offered at no cost to the participant but you must register in advance and you MUST register using your agency email.

Under no circumstances are you permitted to share the link and invite non-justice community partners.

Can I share the registration link with my colleagues?


You are permitted to share the registration link with your fellow colleagues. They will have to complete the own registration.




How Do I Register ?


Click on the RSVP link and you will be directed to the registration page where you can complete the registration page and wait for your approval. Once you have been approved, you will be sent the details for logging into the webinar




Will the webinar be interactive?


Due to time constraints, each presenter will have 15 minutes to deliver their presentation. If time permits, we will allow a number of questions




How do I ask quesitons during the webinar?


All the attendees on the webinar will not be permitted to use their microphone until the moderator allows. There is a feature in the webinar that will allow you to "raise a hand." This feature will indicate to the presenter as well as the moderator that you have a question at which point your microphone will be enabled and you will be able to ask your question
